Symbicon Ltd., industry pioneer, designs, develops and manufactures large LCD-based digital advertising and information display solutions for demanding indoor and outdoor applications under the IconOne® brand. All IconOne displays are designed for public environments where extremely reliable and durable displays for continuous usage are needed, including Transport, Street Furniture and Retail.

IconOne product development began during 2004 in Finland and Symbicon Ltd. introduced IconOne product range for indoor and outdoor use already in 2005. At that time the business climate was extremely favorable and the weather in Finland provided a sensational environment for testing in extreme weather conditions and for developing durable structures.

The founders of Symbicon Ltd. have long experience and background in outdoor advertising. In the beginning of the new millennium they wanted to find new ways to update conventional paper poster placements and wondered if there could be a more dynamic alternative which would allow content creators to develop and implement new ideas quickly and at the same time enable out of home media companies and service providers to deliver new more cost-efficient product offerings and increase media turnaround time. The solution was to go digital.
